South Korean comedian Lee Jin Ho incurred a lot of debt after borrowing from several famous celebrities for gambling purposes.
BTS member Jimin was reported as one of Jin Ho’s victims who loaned him US$70,000.
The matter was confirmed by Jimin’s management, Big Hit Entertainment, through a statement to the South Korean media.
“It’s true that Jimin suffered a lot of losses. The debt agreement has been made and Jin Ho has already received the money,” said the representative of the company’s management.
Upset with what happened, Jimin however still has a good heart by asking Jin Ho to repay the debt within 10 years.
Apart from Jimin, Jin Ho also allegedly borrowed money from several other celebrities including singer Young Tak and TV host Lee Soo Geun to satisfy his gambling lust.
Worse, there are celebrities complaining about paying high taxes because money was loaned without any agreement.
Previously, Jin Ho confessed to being involved in illegal online gambling activities for the past four years. He revealed that he had to ask for financial help from his family, acquaintances and celebrity friends to pay his gambling debts but it was not enough.
The comedian’s financial problems worsened when he borrowed money from ‘Ah Long’ at high interest. – Agency
