Man is assaulted on his front porch: Brunswick Hills Township Police Blotter

BRUNSWICK HILLS TOWNSHIP, Ohio

Assault, Sleepy Hollow Road

A man reported being assaulted at his home at 12:14 p.m. Sept. 29 by two men who came to his house looking for his son. The man told the visitors his son was home, but was upstairs asleep. One of the men reportedly punched him and both began beating him as he tried to close the front door. The man was treated by EMS and taken to the hospital for his injuries, and the son reportedly told police where he had been the night before. There was no further information available at the time of the report.

Theft, Boston Road

A man reported Sept. 24 that his ex-girlfriend had sold several of his personal items on a social media site without his permission. Police spoke with the woman, who reportedly admitted to selling the items. She returned a machete and two hoodies to the man and agreed to pay him $150 for the sold items.

Fraud, Lake Forest Reserve Lane

A resident called police Sept. 30 and reported paying a carpeting company $6,200 for carpet installation two weeks prior. The resident was unable to contact the company during that time and one of the company’s phones had been disconnected. Police were also unable to contact representatives from the North Canton-based company, and reports noted that Premier Floorz had an F rating with the Better Business Bureau and four complaints in the past 12 months. There was no further information from police at the time of the report.
