Sabah is expected to continue to receive rural development allocations

KOTA KINABALU, 15 OCT – Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said Sabah is expected to continue to receive allocations for rural development in Budget 2025 to bridge the gap with urban areas.

He said the allocation was to improve basic facilities, especially in dealing with issues related to poor schools and clinics.

“For this purpose, the focus will be on ensuring full access to basic facilities, especially roads, treated clean water supply and electricity,” he said at the State Development Action Council meeting at Menara Kinabalu in Kota Kinabalu today.

Hajiji also said the government will continue to focus on efforts to improve the well-being of the people including the provision of social protection for all levels of society, jobs with better wages as well as measures and policies that will see a fair distribution of the nation’s wealth.

He said the Sabah State Government is optimistic that Budget 2025 will bring Malaysia closer to realizing a CIVIL Economy with the cooperation of all Malaysians.

Hajiji said Budget 2025, which will be presented this Friday, is the framework for the long-term direction of the Malaysian economy to increase the ceiling of the country’s potential and the level of people’s quality of life in line with its theme which is CIVIL Economy, Prosperous Country, Prosperous People. – Named
