BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 15 OCT – Awang Mohamad Zulkhairy bin Mohamad Azamy from the Youth Mosque of the National Housing Plan (RPN) of Kampung Rataie, Temburong District appeared as the winner of the Sermon Reading Contest for the Youth of the Temburong District Mosque Year 1446H/2024AD which took place at the mosque.
Sermon Reading Contest for mosque youth organized by members of the RPN Kampung Rataie Mosque Improvement Committee in collaboration with the Temburong District Mosque Affairs Office participated by a total of 11 among the Temburong District mosque youth.
Present as the guest of honor and then presenting the prize to the winner was the Acting Director of Mosque Affairs, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri.
One of the purposes of the contest is to instill courage in the youth to appear in public. In addition to being able to fill the free time of the mosque youth with more beneficial activities, it can then produce mosque youth who are active in religious activities.
In addition, it is also to unearth the talents and abilities of the mosque’s youth and it is hoped that it will be able to produce mentors among the youth who may become mosque officials in the future.
The event is also intended to be one of the annual activities of the RPN Kampung Rataie Mosque in the Temburong District in order to select a representative for the Temburong District to participate in the mosque’s youth sermon reading contest at the national level later.
