CLEVELAND, Ohio — Archbishop Hoban won the team title and Knights senior Chris Pollack won the individual title by two strokes Tuesday at the OHSAA Division I boys golf state tournament at NCR Country Club in Kettering.
Pollack, one of four returning golfers from last season’s runner-up finish for the Knights, had a two-day total of 142 to finish ahead of Kent Roosevelt senior Liam Curtis (144) and three golfers tied at third (145).
Pollack and Curtis finished the first day of the tournament tied with a 71. Pollack shot a 71 again on Tuesday, while Curtis finished at 73. Curtis won the Northeast district tournament last week.
Helping Pollack get the Knights to the team title was senior Ray Dress (9th, 149), senior Braden Herstich (T11th, 150) senior Brett Bagatti (T18th, 154) and sophomore Ben Berridge (29th, 159).
