Man arrested for kidnapping woman from her Solon workplace

SOLON, Ohio — A man faces kidnapping charges after he went to the workplace of his children’s mother and forced the woman into his car.

At 1:05 p.m. Oct. 11, a caller reported seeing the distressed woman being pulled, against her will, by a man into a blue Buick sedan in the lot of Brennan Industries, 30205 Solon Road.

Police learned that the woman, 23, of Warrensville Heights, works at Brennan Industries and was the subject of a protection order.

The caller, a co-worker of the woman, told police that the car drove off and that she was able to track the vehicle, via the app Find My Friends, to a Warrensville Heights address. At that address, police found the woman.

She told officers that the father of her two children, against whom she has the protection order, was upset with her and forced her into his car. Fearing assault, the woman said she was able to escape from the man’s car at Green and Warrensville Center roads and then make her way home.

The involved car was found parked outside an apartment on Walford Road in Warrensville Heights.

The man, 20, of Maple Heights, was ordered out of the apartment and arrested, without incident, for kidnapping, a first-degree felony, and violating a protection order, a third-degree felony.
