RIYADH, 16 OCT – The King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Center (KSrelief) signed a memorandum of financial support worth US$10 million yesterday with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to address the growing humanitarian needs in the Gaza Strip.
According to the Saudi news agency (SPA), the memorandum was signed by KSrelief’s Assistant Chief Supervisor of Operations and Programs, Eng Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz and Head of the ICRC Regional Delegation for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Mamadou Sow.
Under the agreement, ICRC programs and activities in the health, water, environmental sanitation, and nutrition sectors in the Gaza Strip will be supported.
The funding will also help displaced residents with immediate assistance and shelter.
The initiative is part of the Saudi Arabian Government’s ongoing efforts through KSrelief, to support the affected Palestinians in Gaza and provide them with essential services. – Named
