The American sources said that the timetable and criteria Israeli response Iran was the subject of intense discussion within the Israeli cabinet, and is not directly related to the timing of the US presidential elections scheduled for next November 5.
The growing conflict in the Middle East is emerging as an ongoing issue in the US elections, as President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have faced pressure from progressives over their handling of the situation. Meanwhile, Republicans – including former President Donald Trump – accused the administration of spoiling the crisis and sending the world into chaos.
Iranian anticipation
On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi warned, on Wednesday, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres that his country is ready for a “firm” response if Israel attacks Iran in response to the latter launching missiles at it.
Abbas Araqchi’s office quoted him as saying, “While every effort is being made to protect peace and security in the region, Iran is fully prepared for a firm response to any” Israeli adventure.
And it was Iraqi Last Sunday, he said on the X platform that “there are no red lines” for his country in defending its people and interests, in reference to the expected Israeli response to the Iranian missile attack that targeted the Hebrew state at the beginning of this month.
The Iranian official pointed out that the United States “has delivered record quantities of weapons to Israel. It is now endangering the lives of its soldiers by deploying American missile systems in Israel.”
