BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, OCT 17 – A total of 722 future graduates of Brunei Polytechnic participated in the Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam Mosque this morning in conjunction with the 10th Brunei Polytechnic Convocation Ceremony.
Present as the guest of honor at the ceremony was the Permanent Secretary (Higher Education), Ministry of Education, Doctor Haji Azman bin Ahmad.
The khatam ceremony attended by 365 prospective male graduates and 407 prospective female graduates began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the guest of honor and continued with the recitation of the Takhtim by the khatam participants. The reading of Doa Khatam was then read by Md Akmal Hadif Bin Md Shah @ Md Lutfi Hadi, a future graduate of Level 5 Digital Media and then continued with Dikir Marhaban.
The purpose of the event is to dignify the Al-Qur’an as the basis of all knowledge in addition to receiving the blessings of God’s revelation and presented by the Islamic Education Unit, General Studies Division, PB, as one of the highlights of each convocation ceremony at Brunei Polytechnic as usual .
The ceremony ended with the recitation of the Closing Prayer by the imam of the Universiti Brunei Darussalam Mosque, His Eminence Imam Pg Naseruddin bin Pg Hj Abu Bakar.
The 10th Brunei Polytechnic Convocation Ceremony will be held on 24 October 2024 (morning and afternoon), for two sessions, at the International Conference Center (ICC), Berakas. A total of 882 graduates will receive certificates Diploma Level 5 each at the event.
Also invited to attend to enliven the ceremony are the Acting Director, Assistant Directors, senior officers, officers, teaching staff and staff of Brunei Polytechnic.
