BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 17 OCT – The National Committee of the Palestinian People’s Humanitarian Fund in Gaza 2023 would like to inform that the fund collection period has been extended for six months, which is until April 18, 2025.
The extension is in compliance with the decree of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, to allow the public to continue to channel aid to ease the suffering and burden of the Palestinian people affected in Gaza.
This extension includes through the collection platform available under this fund which is collection through SMS Brunei Prihatin which is operated by Datastream Digital Sdn Bhd (DST), Progresif Sdn Bhd and imagine Sdn Bhd.
In addition, it also includes the provision of donation funds in mosques, suraus and places of worship throughout the country, public buildings, business buildings and banks in cooperation with banks’ associations; and the organization of charity activities for the purpose of collecting donations.
As of October 17, the fund’s total fund collection was $4,774,876.79 and part of the fund collection amounting to $1,399,545 was used to send humanitarian aid to Palestine through water-drop in the form of ready-to-eat food packets that were implemented on March 13 to 15. Therefore, the fund balance as of October 17 is $3,375,331.79.
