The event, organized by the American political action committee PAC at Folsom’s Ridley High School Auditorium, featured the world’s richest man speaking on stage for about 15 minutes before taking questions from the crowd, many of whom wore hats. Make America Great Again.
The event was held as a call for early voting in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania, between Trump and Kamala Harris.
The crowd rose and took cell phone videos as Musk, the billionaire founder of Tesla and Space X and owner of social media platform X, walked on stage. They remained standing during his speech and cheered loudly after he said the Constitution of the United States should be upheld.
“These are (voting for) the fundamental values that make America what it is today and anyone who opposes those things is anti-American and they will perish,” Musk said to loud cheers from the crowd.
Some in the crowd shouted, “Why?” But Musk did not answer. A spokesman said after the event he also had no further comment.
Musk has been a key booster of the Trump campaign this season. He said, “I wasn’t politically active before, I’m politically active now because I think the future of America and the future of civilization is at stake.” – AP
