CLEVELAND, Ohio – Amidst tumultuous campaigns, the Battle of Ohio rages on as the Cleveland Browns host the Cincinatti Bengals today – Sunday, Oct. 20 – at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland, Ohio. This game is available on multiple streaming services for free.

BROWNS – BENGALS Matchup Preview
This year‘s rendition of the Battle of Ohio features two teams that have been through the ringer. Cleveland’s offense remains stuck in the mud as they try to snap a four-game losing streak. Cincinatti is trying to climb out of the barrel of a 0-3 start.
Cleveland quarterback Deshaun Watson continues to draw criticism for what is statistically the worst offense in the league, averaging just 240 yards per game. Watson has tallied 1,020 yards with five touchdowns and three interceptions. He has not thrown for 200 yards in a game this season and holds the worst QBR in the league at 21.6.
Watson has been sacked 31 times, which is the most in the NFL. After a flurry of injuries, Cleveland’s offensive line looks to be on the rebound after the return of Jack Conklin. His presence allows for more stable pass protection.
His top target, Amari Cooper, was traded away this week, stripping an already lethargic receiving core. Jerry Jeudy has notched 20 receptions for 248 yards and one touchdown. Cleveland’s passing offense is putting up 143 yards per game, which is third-worst in the NFL.
Tight end David Njoku has been back for two weeks. He has 10 catches for 89 yards in three games this season. With Cooper in Buffalo, look for Njoku’s targets to rise significantly.
Star running back Nick Chubb was activated this week. His presence alone will help rejuvenate the Browns offense, especially their lackluster run game, which is averaging 97.2 yards per game. Chubb is recovering from a devastating leg injury during a game in Week 2 against the Steelers last season.
Jerome Ford will likely miss the matchup. He has tallied 264 yards and one touchdown. Look for D’Onta Foreman and Pierre Strong Jr. to spearhead the run game, along with a refurbished Chubb. Foreman has 124 rushing yards this season.
The secondary has been targeted on more than a few occasions, but they are contributing to a pass defense that has allowed 196.3 yards per game, which is 11th in the NFL and by far their best statistic.
Reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett has racked up 13 tackles, six tackles for a loss and four sacks.
Cleveland has not scored more than 18 points in all six games. Their defense has been stretched thin early in the season, but they were sturdy against the Eagles. Grant Delpit will be returning from concussion protocol.
Cincinatti’s four losses have come by a combined 12 points. They lost nailbiters to the Chiefs and Commanders.
The Bengals are averaging 26.2 points per game, which is eighth in the NFL.
Quarterback Joe Burrow has amassed 1,578 yards, 12 touchdowns and two interceptions. His 75 QBR is the second-highest in the league. Cincinatti is averaging 249.7 passing yards, which is seventh in the NFL. Burrow has scampered for 94 rushing yards and one touchdown.
In three attempts, Burrow has never won in Cleveland.
Bengals receiver Ja’Marr Chase is the real deal, tallying 34 receptions for 565 yards and five touchdowns. He is averaging 16.6 yards per reception.
Zack Moss has rushed for 224 yards and two touchdowns while also snagging 16 receptions for 126 yards and one touchdown.
Chase Brown is the go-to back for the Bengals. He has 283 yards and three touchdowns.
Cincinatti seldom turns the ball over, claiming just six turnovers in six games.
Sack machine Trey Hendrickson will be coming after Watson. He has tallied 14 total tackles, five tackle for loss and five sacks.
Linebacker Germain Pratt has amassed 58 tackles, one tackle for loss and one interception. Logan Wilson has 61 tackles and one tackle for loss.
Cincinatti leads the all-time series, 53-48, but it has fallen in six consecutive trips to Cleveland. Quite simply, the Browns have had the Bengals number.
