BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, OCT 20 – Maintaining mental health is important because it is one of the trusts and favors from Allah SWT.

With a good mental health, it can help people in perfecting worship with devotion in their prayers, sharpening their memory to memorize the holy verses of the Quran and easily increase knowledge and understanding.

These matters are among the essence of the tazkirah delivered by the Psychological Officer (Public Health), Ministry of Health, Dayang Fauziyyah Hanani binti Haji Abdul Manap, during the Malam Munajat Program broadcast from the Republic of Singapore organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (KHEU) yesterday for the 156th time , the 18th Women’s Special in conjunction with World Mental Health Day 2024.

In addition, he also shared that one of the things that can be practiced to maintain mental health is to apply balance and simplicity in our daily lives.

That includes a balance in allocating time to fulfill religious obligations, time with family, with work, and with yourself. Next apply simplicity in nutrition. In addition, be simple in daily interactions with the priority of caring haluminannas.

This week’s Malam Munajat program invited Clinical Psychologist, Head of Mental Health Strategy, Health Promotion Center, Ministry of Health, Dayang Nor Syahmun binti Haji Matassan, who led the reading of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah from the Salambigar Village Mosque.

Next, the recitation of Surah As-Sajdah en masse led by Level II Religious Teacher, Pusar Ulak Religious School, Hajah Massuri binti Haji Besar, together with religious teachers from Brunei Region I, Department of Islamic Studies (JPI) from Bandar Seri Arab Preparatory School Surau Begawan.

While the Prayer of Prayer was recited by the Assistant Director of Sharia Affairs, Department of Sharia Affairs, KHEU, Dr Noryati binti Haji Ibrahim, from the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque.

The program was followed by the recitation of Asmaul Husna in large numbers led by Level II Religious Teacher, Pelambayan Religious School, Dayang Sarbanun binti Haji Hussein, together with religious teachers from Brunei Area I, JPI from Surau Arab Preparatory School Bandar Seri Begawan.

Before ending the event, the Doa Peliharakan Sultan and Negara Brunei Darussalam was read by the Religious Education Officer and Headmaster of the Mabohai Religious School, Hajah Rosinah binti Haji Abdul Karim, from the Bandar Seri Begawan Arab Preparatory School Surau.

Also facilitating the event were the religious teachers of Brunei Area I, JPI; Muslim congregation from Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Salambigar Village Mosque and several mosques in the country.
