BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 21 OCT – The Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Masjid Improvement Committee in collaboration with the Islamic Dakwah Center (PDI), Ministry of Religious Affairs held an Introduction to Fundamentals and Discipline Workshop Tadabbur The Al-Quran was organized in the Multi-Purpose Hall, PDI recently.
Present as the guest of honor at the ceremony was the Acting Director of Mosque Affairs, Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri who also completed the presentation of certificates to the workshop participants.
The workshop was attended by 36 participants consisting of officers from PDI, Seri Begawan Religious Teaching University College, Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, Mosque Affairs Department, Royal Brunei Armed Forces Religious Department, Ministry of Defense, Sultan Haji Hassanal Al-Quran Tahfiz Institute Bolkiah and Certified Da’ie Brunei Islamic Religious Council.
The workshop aimed to introduce the principles and discipline in understanding and managing the Al-Quran as the main guide for Muslims and was delivered by an invited speaker, the Managing Director and Educator Fellow at Tadabbur Center Sdn Bhd, Malaysia, His Excellency Awang Syahmi Syazeril bin Azmi .
During the workshop, the participants were given the opportunity to increase their knowledge and skills in appreciating the content of the Al-Quran in accordance with the order of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam regarding the importance of meditating on the Al-Quran.
The workshop was also held in conjunction with the ten year celebration of the Opening Ceremony of the Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque on July 18.
