Pop superstar postpones 4 concerts for ‘reasons beyond my control’

Pop music megastar Pink has postponed four shows in her U.S. tour, citing “reasons beyond my control.”

Pink made the announcement on social media, saying shows in Lincoln, Neb.; Sioux Falls, S.D., Milwaukee, Wis., and Des Moines, Iowa, all would be postponed. It’s the second time during this tour that Pink has suddenly postponed performing; in July, she canceled a show in Switzerland because of an unspecified health issue.

“I’m so disappointed to share this news, but we are working on rescheduling each of these shows as soon as we can,” Pink says in the post. “Thank you for your understanding. I’m looking forward to seeing you all very, very soon.”

Tickets for the postponed shows will be valid for rescheduled dates. Because of the postponements, her next show is scheduled for Nov. 3 in Austin, Texas. Her current tour included a stop in Cleveland in November.

Pink, 45, broke out as a superstar in 2001 with the hit “Get the Party Started” from her second album, Missundaztood. The album sold more than 13 million copies. She has gone on to sell more than 60 million albums during her career.

Among her honors are three Grammys and seven Billboard Music awards. She will be eligible for induction in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year.
