A warm and stormy start to the week

Showers and storms have started to move into the area. They will mainly reside in Western Kansas through the morning.

A warm and stormy start to the week

Storms will begin to make their way into Central Kansas during the afternoon. Rainfall will be heavy at times and storms will need to be monitored closely.

There is a risk for isolated strong to severe storms. Damaging winds, large hail, and an isolated tornado are all possibilities.

As storms track to the east, Western Kansas will start to dry out by the evening but the eastern third of the area will still be stormy. If there is anything left during the overnight it will mainly impact our easternmost counties.

Temperatures will be above average today. It will not be too chilly this morning followed by highs in the 70s.

After the stormy start to the week the rest of the week will be dry and sunny with temperatures staying above average.

There will be some wind shifts this week. A front tracks north to south late Tuesday into Wednesday and there will be another one late Thursday into Friday.

Both of them will come through dry. There is a 10% chance for rain Saturday but the weekend is looking pretty dry.
