As the state senator for a district that includes Cleveland, Lakewood and other western suburbs, I know Cuyahoga County needs judges with the experience and temperament to resolve disputes in ways that benefit the entire community. I believe Kira Krivosh would be that kind of judge.
Krivosh’s 14-year legal career includes civil and criminal work at the local, county, and federal levels. As a former assistant Cuyahoga County prosecutor, she secured $17.6 million in support for families and children. She also gained criminal experience at the Garfield Heights Law Department. Today as a Juvenile Court magistrate, she daily presides over a complicated docket of civil and quasi-criminal cases, thoughtfully making decisions that affect people’s lives.
I have seen her commitment to the community firsthand. During the early days of the pandemic, we co-founded the Giving Tree Project to distribute medical supplies to communities in need. She currently serves on the board of Open Doors Academy, a nonprofit that offers quality after-school and summer programs to underserved children. Her volunteer work gives her a community-based perspective that is unique and will make her a great judge. I hope you, too, will vote for Kira Krivosh for the Court of Common Pleas.
