Angry tenant turfs lawns: Brunswick Hills Township Police Blotter

Criminal mischief, Substation Road

A resident of a trailer park reportedly became angry his lease was not being renewed and turfed several yards in the park at 4:07 p.m. Oct. 10. Police spoke with the property owner and the suspect, who said he had lived at the park for 25 years and was upset because he felt the owners were harassing him with fines. He was cited for criminal mischief and was told to make arrangements to move out of the park.

Vandalism, Fallen Leaf Trail

A woman said she was awakened just before midnight Oct. 11 by a pounding on her house and a dog barking. Later that morning, she said she found her house egged. Three juveniles – two boys and a girl – were reportedly seen in the area on a neighbor’s security camera, but there were no suspects at the time of the report. The victim requested police place an extra patrol in the area.

Theft, Southpointe Trail

A woman reported finding an unauthorized $225 charge on her credit card at 10:34 a.m. Oct. 10. Police advised the woman to change her passwords, and the matter remained under investigation at the time of the report.
