BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 22 OCT – A total of 22 participants attended Refresher’s Course which took place at the Indoor Stadium, Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex, yesterday.
Present as the guest of honor was the Acting Director of Youth and Sports, Haji Mohamad Rosfazilah bin Haji Yusly.
The course started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and was followed by a brief speech from the President of the Brunei Darussalam Sepak Takraw Association (PESTABARU), Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan bin Pengiran Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abas.
Facilitating the course is the Secretary General of PESTABARU, Awang Ramlan bin Haji Mohd Said, with this course being about the preparation of the committee to organize the 2024 TAIB Sepak Takraw Super League which will be held for 6 consecutive weeks starting on October 27 at the Complex Multi-Purpose Hall Garden River Sports.
The next matches will be held at the Tutong Sports Complex Multipurpose Hall on November 3 and November 10. As for the 4th week match, it will take place at the Sungai Kebun Sports Complex Multi-Purpose Hall on November 17.
While the quarter-finals and semi-finals will be held on November 22 at the Indoor Stadium, Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex followed by the final will also take place at the same stadium on November 24.
The TAIB Super Sepak Takraw League 2024 is a league organized by PESTABARU for the second time in collaboration with the Department of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and the Brunei Islamic Trust Corporation (TAIB) as the main sponsor of the league.
