WASHINGTON, OCT 22 – A teenage boy was arrested following the death of five people, including three children, in a shooting incident in Washington yesterday, reported United Press International (UPI).
Authorities rushed to the scene after receiving a report of a random shooting at a home in the Fall City area, just before 5 a.m. about 25 miles east of Seattle.
Five victims were found dead inside the home and the suspect tried to hang himself, according to paramedics and emergency teams.
A female victim was taken to hospital for treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.
Although the authorities have not confirmed the suspect’s relationship with the victim, they described the incident as a ‘possible case of domestic violence.’
A juvenile male was arrested and is currently in the King County Juvenile Detention Center.
“Very sad. Very disturbing. I am confident that my team will conduct a thorough investigation and we will determine the facts surrounding this incident,” said King County Sheriff Patti Cole-Tindall.
