JAKARTA, 22 OCT – China is ready to synergize with Indonesia under the leadership and guidance of the new head of state and push the building of a shared destiny community to a new level, according to Chinese Vice President Han Zheng.
He said the cooperation will not only help contribute to efforts to preserve regional peace and stability but also promote world development and prosperity.
He is on a visit to Indonesia from October 19 to 21 to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new Indonesian President in Jakarta on October 20.
At the invitation of the Indonesian government, Han as the special representative of the President of China, Xi Jinping met with the President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto and conveyed congratulations and blessings from Xi to Prabowo.
Han stated that previously, Prabowo had visited China as President-elect, reflecting his friendship with China and his aspiration to develop bilateral relations.
Xi and Prabowo have reached an important consensus to continue to strengthen and refine the implementation of the cooperation program of the two countries.
“The series of proposals presented by President Prabowo in his swearing-in speech, such as food self-sufficiency and poverty alleviation, coincide with Xi Jinping’s concept of people-centered development.
