POLSARA welcomed a group of Muar police retirees

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 29 OCT- A total of 22 members of a delegation from the Johor State Police Retired Association (PPPNJ) from Muar branch, Johor recently visited Brunei Darussalam to visit the Royal Brunei Police Retired Association (POLSARA).

Joining the delegation was the President of PPPNJ, ASP (B) Mohamad bin Tayib.

Also present to welcome the group were the retired members of the Brunei National Police led by the Chairman, Supt (B) Haji Awang Yahya bin Haji Ibrahim.

The group will be here for 3 days and 2 nights, followed by attending the wedding of the son of S/Sgt (B) Jormasie bin Haji Awang, a member of POLSARA to show the wedding culture of Bruneians.

In addition, the group also toured Bandar Seri Begawan, Kampung Ayer and the museum.

The visit of the PPPNJ, Muar Branch delegation to this country is the second visit after the PPPNJ, Pontian Branch also visited here last year.

In his YDP PPPNJ speech, Muar was moved by the warm welcome from POLSARA and hoped that the relationship between the two associations would be a vehicle for future generations to enjoy life together after retirement and also strengthen friendships while looking back on their experiences while on duty.

In conjunction with the visit, a dinner was held at the residence of one of the POLSARA committee members, S/Sgt Haji Ramlee bin Ahmad, which was also attended by the POLSARA Advisor, ACP (B) Haji Murad bin Haji Abd Hadi and his wife.

The group also went to the house of one of the POLSARA members, S/Sgt Haji Lamit bin Haji Kunchang, for a morning tea party for the farewell event. The group left for the next visit to Kota Kinabalu.
