TAMPIN, 24 OCT – A factory worker is believed to have died after the motorbike he was riding hit a buffalo at Kilometer 5 of Jalan Tampin-Kuala Pilah near Kampung Sri Repah, Negeri Sembilan last night.
Tampin District Police Chief, Supt Amiruddien Sariman said the victim, who was also a man riding a Yamaha Y15ZR motorcycle, was on his way to work at a factory in Melaka.
“The results of the investigation show that the accident occurred when the motorcyclist was traveling from his home in Kampung Berambai, Johol to his workplace in Melaka.
“When he arrived at the scene of the incident, the victim did not have time to avoid and continued to hit a buffalo that was in the path of the motorcycle,” he said in a statement today.
He said the victim who suffered severe head injuries died at the scene and the victim’s body was taken to the Tampin Hospital Forensic Unit for an autopsy. He said the case was investigated in accordance with Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. – Bernama
