Singer Jessi came out to make a public apology following the attack on her fans last month.
Jessi or Ho Hyun Joo, 36, said she regretted her actions in failing to stop the matter which caused the victim to suffer trauma.
“I would like to sincerely apologize to the victim and his family for all the harm caused due to the incident.
“Since the incident, I realize that I have hurt not only the victim but many parties, causing them to feel betrayed and angry.
“I regret my actions. If I could go back to that time, I would take a picture with the victim.
“If I had been proactive in protecting the victim and gone to the police station immediately and made an apology, maybe the victim would not have suffered to this extent,” he said.
Jessi made the apology through her Instagram yesterday.
Aware that an apology cannot change the situation, Jessi promises to correct the wrong done to the victim.
“I am trying to correct my mistake by helping the victim throughout the recovery process,” he explained.
On October 16, Jessi attended the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul to help investigate the case.
In the incident that happened on September 29, a fan tried to approach Jessi to take a picture with her. But the request was blocked by a man standing near Jessi who was sitting on the side of a building.
The fan was later beaten by Jessi’s employee even though the singer was seen trying to stop him from doing so.
The recording of the incident is also going viral on social media and many people are starting to side with Jessi who is clearly not the cause of the incident and instead trying to stop her employees from hitting the individual. – Agency
