NEW YORK — The actors who were part of the famed “Brat Pack” spent a lot of time together during the 1980s, both working on films and on the social scene.
So it wasn’t surprising that some of the relationships became more than professional. But not all of the relationships were revealed at that time.
That’s the case with Rob Lowe and Demi Moore, at least according to Lowe. During an appearance on Kelly Ripa’s podcast “Let’s Talk Off Camera,” Lowe told Ripa that he and Moore “briefly had a thing” during the 1980s, TMZ reports.
Lowe and Moore played a couple in the 1986 movie “About Last Night.” Ripa asked Lowe if he had a crush on Moore.
“I mean, Demi and I briefly – I’m not telling tales out of school – we briefly had a thing,” Lowe said, according to Yahoo! News.
Lowe said the fling occurred before Moore became engaged to another Brat Pack member, Emilio Estevez. Moore and Estevez never did get married. Moore married actor Bruce Willis in 1987, but the couple were divorced in 2000.
Yahoo! News reports Lowe says he stays in contact with Moore as well as other Brat Pack members and that there is talk of making a sequel to “St. Elmo’s Fire,” the 1985 film that starred Moore, Lowe, Estevez and several other Brat Pack actors.
