WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Larned Police Department said U.S. Marshals, working with several Kansas law enforcement agencies, caught an “exceptionally dangerous” fugitive in Larned.
The LPD said the fugitive was caught in the 200 block of E. 20th St. in Larned. They were wanted on felony warrants out of Washington State and Federal warrants for parole violations stemming from weapons offenses and robbery.
There was a brief standoff between the suspect and law enforcement, which ended after multiple tasers struck the suspect.
Larned police said they communicated with Larned Elementary School and sent the Pawnee County school resource officer to the school for extra precaution.
