Azan and iqamah for munfarid

(In the name of Allah, All praise be to Allah, Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, his family, friends and followers)

Prepared by the Government Mufti Department

Establishing the call to prayer when it is time to pray five times a day and erecting the iqamah when you want to perform it is circumcision. There are also some scholars who say that the law is fardhu enough because it is one of the things that reveal the teachings of Islam and to ignore both of them means to belittle the religion.

Azan and iqamah are only established for the obligatory five-time prayer, including the obligatory Friday prayer. As for circumcision prayers, funeral prayers, votive prayers and others are not required by the call to prayer and iqamah, they are even makruh by law.

For those who pray in congregation, azan and iqamah is a requirement of sunnah enough. This is a clear and well-known matter. What is the question here is what is the position of azan and iqamah for munfarid i.e. a person who prays alone? Do munfarid also required to establish azan and iqamah as it is required in congregational prayer?
