For the safety and comfort of passengers, the Incheon International Airport Corporation will start a new operating procedure by opening a special route for celebrities.
The measure was taken to control the situation of fans gathering at the airport causing commotion and disturbing other users.
“In order to reduce the situation of people gathering, we are establishing a new procedure where celebrities can use the special exit and entry route at Incheon International Airport,” said a statement released.
The procedure will be enforced from October 28.
However, this step is not to create a new route, instead celebrities are allowed to use the pilot and crew gate.
The airport has also held a meeting with several artist management companies regarding this matter to facilitate the movement of celebrities in and out.
The security issue began to attract attention since last July when the appearance of actor Byun Woo Seok at the airport caused an extraordinary commotion.
