GREAT BEND, Kan. (KSNW) — Police are looking for the person or people who broke into a Great Bend business early Thursday and then set it on fire.
The Great Bend Fire Department said the call came in just before 4 a.m. of a building fire in the 1900 block of Main Street. A fire was coming from the door of the building.
The firefighters quickly extinguished the flames and searched the building. They did not find anyone inside but discovered someone had broken in.
The Great Bend Fire Department, Kansas State Fire Marshal Office, and the Great Bend Police Department are investigating this incident. They say the cause of the fire was arson.
