Will “Kamalot” bring hope or Obama politics on steroids?

As a lifelong but very frustrated Republican, I read your endorsement of Kamala Harris for President with interest and found myself not disagreeing with your arguments but also feeling that important parts were left untold. I do agree and appreciate your analogy with JFK in creating a spirit of “can-do patriotism”. When we lose hope for the future, it’s almost too late. However, several thoughts you might want to still address with your readers:

1. While it is still hard to get a legitimate read on candidate Tim Walz, considering his lengthy Congressional and governorship experience, his qualifications as No. 2 certainly exceed that of his opponent.
2. As Sen. Lindsey Graham and others pointed out in 2016, character does matter and should be the first litmus, and the absence of, a disqualifying test.
3. Recently the WSJ ran an excellent Karl Rove article on what neither candidate/party is discussing, namely deficit spending/national debt, defense spending and fixing safety net programs.

Two big questions in my mind are whether “Kamalot” will actually result in a “wreath of positivity and hope…” or Obama politics on steroids. And secondly, will the next President insist on a truly bipartisan working relationship with a responsible Congress?
