SINGAPORE, OCT 25 – According to data released by the Singapore Economic Development Board today, Singapore’s manufacturing output rose 9.8 percent year-on-year in September.
The increase was driven by biomedical manufacturing which recorded a growth of 62 percent, supported by the supply of active pharmaceutical ingredients and higher production of biological products.
Output in precision engineering, general manufacturing, chemicals, and electronics also posted growth in September.
However, transportation engineering output declined by 1.9 percent year-on-year and declined 9.4 percent from January to September compared to the previous year. – Xinhua
