The G7 calls on Israel to maintain its relations with Palestinian banks

The statement was issued a day after the finance ministers and heads of central banks of the Group of Seven countries met late on Friday. The statement also condemned the Iranian military attacks on Israel, in addition to conveying… Tehran Advanced weapons to Russia, according to Reuters.

The group’s finance officials said that continuing relations between Israeli and Palestinian banks is necessary “so that vital financial transactions, trade and essential services can continue.”

The statement, which repeated the warnings of US Treasury Department officials, called for the release of pending tax revenues and submitting them to the Palestinian Authority in full, as well as the reissuance of permits to Palestinian workers wherever security conditions permit.

The G7 statement comes after separate statements from the group yesterday evening that laid out the principles of bilateral loans worth $50 billion to Ukraine, supported by frozen Russian sovereign assets, which may be disbursed starting in December at the earliest.
