COLUMBUS, Ohio — Relieved fans celebrated with a rendition of “Carmen Ohio” along with the players in the south end zone after the Buckeyes squeaked out a 21-17 win over Nebraska on Saturday.

“Carmen Ohio” was written more than 100 years ago, and players have been singing it to the fans at the end of the game, win or lose, since 2001 in a tradition begun by former coach Jim Tressel.
The Buckeyes hit the road next weekend to play the No. 3 Penn State in State College, Pennsylvania.
