BROOK PARK, Ohio – A man, 33, and woman, 34, both from Strongsville, were arrested at about 1 a.m. Oct. 12 after they led police on a high-speed vehicle chase.
Police pulled over the couple on Interstate 71 northbound near Snow Road because their car’s windows were too darkly tinted. Also, after checking the license plate, police learned that the car, a Chevrolet Cruze, had been involved in a high-speed chase in July with Strongsville police.
Police placed a tire-deflation device under a rear passenger tire of the Cruze, due to the vehicle’s history of fleeing from police. The driver, later identified as the Strongsville man, initially misidentified himself.
