BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 6 – With the intention of providing a new perspective in learning and industry involvement, five teaching staff together with 14 students from the Ntec program in Heavy Machinery Technician from IBTE Central School of Energy and Engineering (SEEC, IBTE) had a study visit to Sime Darby Industrial and the National Youth Skills Institute (IKBN) Miri, recently.

Study tour led by Head of HNTec Automotive Engineering Program, Ntec in Heavy Machinery Technician and Ntec in Light Vehicle MechanicsHaji Muhd ​​Khairulanwar @ Syafi’ie bin Haji Muhd ​​Haranadi that aims to add value to the programs already run by SEEC, IBTE.

IKBN is one of the institutes in Borneo that offers programs related to automotive and heavy machinery majors. Among the majors in automotive offered are certificates in the maintenance of cars, motorcycles, commercial vehicles and heavy machinery.

Through the study tour, teachers and students are expected to be able to see the available facilities and be used as a starting point for collaboration opportunities between IKBN and SEEC, IBTE in addition to the benefits of students’ perspectives on their job opportunities.

The delegation from IBTE was welcomed by the Deputy Director, Student Affairs IKBN, Miri, Sarawak, Kaya Raju.

Meanwhile, Sime Darby Industrial is a regional service provider for heavy machinery and one of the distributors that provides maintenance services on heavy machinery equipment in Brunei Darussalam, particularly in the oil and gas and maritime industries.

In addition, Sime Darby is also one of the members of the Program Development and Evaluation Committee (PDEC) of IBTE and has contributed many ideas especially for the formation and development of the NTec program. in Heavy Machinery Technician and during the After Action Review meeting held last year.
