Yassin pointed out that there are two places where “prefabricated homes can be built in cooperation with friendly countries, including Arab countries that have expressed their willingness to cover the construction of these villages,” without specifying their location or the identity of the countries expected to contribute to the project.
This is the first time that the government has announced the discussion of a similar proposal.
The burden of displacement comes at a time when Lebanon has been suffering for 5 years under an economic collapse, with state institutions unable to provide the basic needs of a population of nearly six million.
