AI training program launched for Sarawak tourism

BANGKOK, 24 OCT – The Pacific Asia Tourism Association (PATA) in collaboration with the Sarawak Tourism Board, will launch a new training program for tourism businesses focusing on technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Sarawak next week.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PATA, Noor Ahmad Hamid, said the program AI-Driven Transformation: Empowering Sarawak’s Tourism SMEs‘aims to harness the potential of AI to improve the capabilities of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Sarawak’s tourism industry. By providing practical AI tools to Sarawak tourism SMEs, he said it aims to increase innovation, competitiveness and sustainability in the global tourism market.

“PATA recognizes that although AI has great potential, SMEs need specific and practical training to bridge the gap between understanding the concept of AI and its use in a real-world context,” said Noor Ahm ad in a statement here on Thursday.

The AI ​​training program is scheduled to take place in Kuching from 29 October to 1 November 2024.

Headquartered in Bangkok, PATA is a membership association working to promote responsible tourism development in the Asia Pacific region. – Named
