Alberta Mounties seek more witnesses to girl’s drowning

Article content

RCMP initially said a canoe had overturned but revealed on Oct. 17 that the boat did not capsize, saying they would “treat this fatal incident as a criminal investigation.”

“Police believe that there were several people on the lake during this time and are asking these individuals to come forward as police believe they may have valuable information leading up to the drowning,” Mounties said in a Tuesday news release.

If you were on Moonlight Bay on Oct. 13 between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., contact Parkland RCMP at 825-220-2000.
