Early Wednesday morning there was another explosion in Cologne city centre. According to police reports, At around 5 a.m. there was a detonation at a clothing store in Ehrenstrasse. The resulting fire was quickly extinguished. There were no injuries. The “Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger” and the WDR had previously reported.
According to WDR The residents of the house were woken up by the explosion. Apparently, just like in the incident on Monday morning, a flammable liquid is used. The crime scene is only a few hundred meters away from the place where an incendiary device exploded on Monday.
On Monday there was an explosion at a Cologne discothequein which a 53-year-old man was slightly injured. The police are still looking for the suspect. Whether there is a connection between the two cases is now part of the investigation. (dpa/Tsp)
