The National Weather Service issued a weather alert at 5:07 p.m. on Sunday for strong thunderstorms until 5:30 p.m. for Pike and Scioto counties.
Residents may experience wind gusts of up to 40 mph.
“At 5:07 p.m., a strong thunderstorm was located near Lucasville, moving northeast at 20 mph,” states the weather service. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Visibility will be poor and hydroplaning is possible.”
