Art: Berlin Art Week begins

With more than 70 exhibition openings, the Berlin Art Week 2024, where the capital’s art scene aims to attract international attention for the 13th time. Contemporary art can be seen in more than 100 museums and exhibition halls, private collections, project spaces and galleries.

According to the organizers, there will be more than 300 events with international stars and up-and-coming Berlin talents until Sunday. This year, the festival meeting point “BAW Garden” is hosted at the Gropius Bau and invites you to a free program in the open air. Photographer Candida Höfer is exhibiting at the Academy of Arts, artist Mariechen Danz at the Berlinische Galerie and works by Sigmar Polke (1941-2010) can be seen in the Schinkel Pavilion.
