UNIFIL forces are deployed in southern Lebanon on the border with IsraelIt includes about 10,000 soldiers, and has been caught in the crossfire between Israel and Hezbollah, since the latter opened a battle front in October 2023.
Israel was subjected to severe criticism on Friday, after the UN force accused its army of “repeatedly and deliberately” shooting at its positions, wounding 5 of its soldiers.
