Awakened siblings tip off police to girl holding a teen party while their father is out of town: Russell Township police blotter

RUSSELL TOWNSHIP, Ohio —

Disturbance, County Line Road:

Upon waking up 11:44 p.m. Sept. 15, a girl found her sister having a large group of friends at their father’s house while he was out of the country. Their brother called police stating she was told to not have any guests. Officers spoke to about 15 teens at the party who were requested to have their parents respond to pick them up. Police found no indications of underage alcoholic beverages. As their parents arrived to pick up their children, officers advised them on the situation.

Traffic detail, Stillwater Drive:

A resident reported neighbors riding ATVs and dirt bikes up and down the road 10:48 a.m. Sept. 16. The caller said it occurs at different times of the day, with the most recent occurring 10 minutes before the phone call. At the time of the investigation, no riders were seen.

Theft, Hook Hollow Road:

A resident called police 11:10 a.m. Sept. 16 to report a political sign taken from a shipment sent to the home.

Traffic detail, Kinsman Road:

Dispatched 9:51 p.m. Sept. 15 to a location for a complaint of a motorcycle speeding as it went back and forth on the road, the responding officer did not find it.

Assistance, Galloway Trail:

Police responded to a call along with firefighters 10:50 a.m. Sept. 17. A landscaping company struck a gas line and caused a gas leak. Officers assisted.
