Baldwin Wallace University announces scholarships

Students from our area were among more than 100 transfer students welcomed to the Baldwin Wallace University campus this fall who claimed more than $1.4 million in merit scholarships based on their previous college accomplishments. The following local students earned scholarships:

Gavin Beck, a graduate of Buckeye Senior High School majoring in business administration, earned a $13, 000 Transfer Trustees’ Scholarship; Christian Eisenmann, a graduate of Medina Public School majoring in music industry, earned a $13, 000 Transfer Trustees’ Scholarship; Abby Figueroa, a graduate of Midview High School majoring in visual communication design, earned an $11, 000 Transfer Deans’ Scholarship; Caleb Hoffman, a graduate of Medina Christian Academy majoring in business administration, earned a $13, 000 Transfer Trustees’ Scholarship; Bailey Olin, a graduate of Medina Senior High School majoring in sport management, earned a $7, 500 Transfer Yellow Jacket Success Grant; Kenny Rogers, a graduate of Highland High School majoring in economics, earned a $10, 000 Transfer Fellows’ Scholarship; Zane Savage, a graduate of Medina Christian Academy majoring in biology, earned a $15, 000 Transfer President’s Scholarship;

Marissa Brigger of Brunswick, a neuroscience major, earned a $15, 000 Transfer President‘s Scholarship; Nick Choueiri of Hinckley, a graduate of Highland High School majoring in finance, earned a $13, 000 Transfer Trustees’ Scholarship; Greg Eckrich of Brunswick, a graduate of Medina Senior High School majoring in finance, earned a $15, 000 Transfer President’s Scholarship; Sophia Larosa of Brunswick, a graduate of Brunswick High School majoring in biology, earned a $15, 000 Transfer President’s Scholarship; Marissa Moriconi of Valley City, a graduate of Sandy Valley High School majoring in national security, earned a $15, 000 Transfer President’s Scholarship; Hunter Neel of Brunswick, a graduate of Brunswick High School majoring in exercise science, earned a $15, 000 Transfer President’s Scholarship; Chris Oliver of Valley City, a graduate of Buckeye Senior High School majoring in English, earned a $7, 500 Transfer Yellow Jacket Success Grant; Nick Peterseim of Brunswick, a graduate of Brunswick High School majoring in acting (BFA), earned a $15, 000 Transfer President’s Scholarship; Lukas Purgar of Brunswick, a graduate of Holy Name High School majoring in business administration and international business, earned a $15, 000 Transfer President’s Scholarship; Jessica Sambor of Hinckley, a graduate of Highland High School majoring in business administration, earned a $15, 000 Transfer President’s Scholarship.

These students from our area were among first -year students welcomed to the Baldwin Wallace University campus this fall who earned more than $12.6 million in scholarships for their outstanding high school achievements.

Yuri Bellina, a graduate of Padua Franciscan High School majoring in marketing, earned a $15, 000 Fellows’ Scholarship; Haley Bishop, a graduate of Highland High School majoring in neuroscience, earned a $21, 000 President‘s Scholarship; Nick Brunst, a graduate of Buckeye Senior High School majoring in marketing, earned a $15, 000 Fellows’ Scholarship; Maude Dunsmore, a graduate of Highland High School majoring in biology, earned a $21, 000 President‘s Scholarship; Katelynn Galvin, a graduate of Medina Senior High School majoring in dual primary and primary intervention specialist, earned a $21, 000 President’s Scholarship; Lily Graziosi, a graduate of Medina Senior High School majoring in dual primary and primary intervention specialist, earned a $21, 000 President’s Scholarship; Camryn Hathaway, a graduate of Medina Senior High School, earned an $18, 000 Deans’ Scholarship;

Brain Fellow: Emma Lambert of Medina has been named a Brain Fellow by Baldwin Wallace University’s David and Frances Brain Center for Community Engagement. Lambert, a graduate of Buckeye Senior High School majoring in international business and management and innovation, shared the honor with three other students.

Brain Fellows are student leaders addressing today’s most complex and challenging social issues while working to educate and empower the community to take action. During the yearlong program, Brain Fellows explore the nuances of social change and leadership during weekly meetings, community events and discussions with community leaders. They also engage with social change agents in the greater community and attend a state-wide leadership conference and multiple local events.
