Beetlejuice lip trend | Gem Media Online

If you have chapped lips, this new makeup trend might be perfect.

This is because the appearance of Beetlejuice’s lips, which is currently trending on the TikTok platform, accepts lip imperfections.

The aim of this make-up is to reproduce the appearance of the striped lips of the iconic character Beetlejuice to match your lips.

After the release of the film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice by Tim Burton, starring iconic actors Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara with a black-and-white striped costume pattern has inspired many make-up fans on the platform.

The inspiration behind the trend came from a user, Adrianna Kalisz, who uploaded a video that has garnered 43.8 million views and almost five million likes.

In the video, she uses green liquid eyeshadow on her lips, then purses her lips to create a natural line before applying black eyeshadow.

Then, once his lips are released, a green and black striped pattern will appear, reminiscent of the motif on Beetlejuice’s suit.

The technique was initially popularized by TikTok user, Luara Reisinger, and it was dubbed the striped lip.

Since then, this new trend has attracted attention online, especially by some content creators.

In addition, users also tried the technique with all kinds of eyeshadow colors.

More than just a make-up trend on TikTok, Beetlejuice’s lips are also able to normalize the natural imperfections of the lips where it is against the beauty trend of lip fillers that use injections to enhance and smooth the lips.

Of course, such makeup tricks are not effective on lips that are plump, smooth, and moist.

In reality, the resulting lines are not big enough to make a clear band which is a huge disappointment to many beauty content creators.

But to the delight of users who don’t choose lip injections, like Helayna Shelton.

She said, “My new obsession is watching over-injected beauty influencers try out Beetlejuice lips.”

The makeup artist’s video has received likes from nearly two million people on TikTok and has been viewed 15.2 million times.

Shelton also mentioned another makeup artist, Jeffree Star, whose video of his failed attempt to recreate Beetlejuice’s lips has been viewed over 31 million times and received two million likes.

In the video, a user named Gabby shows that the technique doesn’t work because the filler makes the lip line of the influencer less
stand out and less clear. The comment was liked by more than 443,300 users. – ANN/The Star
