BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, OCT 20 – In a continuous effort to foster a collaborative and dynamic work environment, Syarikat Brunei Methanol Sdn Bhd (BMC) organized a company-wide team building event at Tarindak D’Seni, recently.
The event aims to strengthen cooperation between departments and communication skills. The event was officiated by BMC’s Chief Executive Officer, Jesus Enrique Mora Marin, who in his opening speech emphasized the importance of teamwork as the main driver of the company’s success, noting that BMC’s success is built on a strong foundation of collaboration.
Employees from all levels of the company participated in the event and were divided into four houses representing Red, Green, Blue and Yellow and each group was further split into two smaller teams in their respective house colors.
The event encouraged cross-departmental collaboration as well as provided a deeper understanding of the function of each department in achieving BMC’s vision of becoming a world-class methanol supplier of choice.
In addition, the activities conducted encourage participants to step out of their comfort zone, with each challenge designed to test their strategic thinking, communication, time management, conflict resolution and leadership skills. Those involved in carnival-style activities also aim to test their skills in problem solving, communication and teamwork.
By working in groups, employees can strengthen cooperation and improve morale, thus emphasizing the importance of unity in achieving collective success.
In addition, BMC continues to focus on staff development and strengthening team dynamics, ensuring its workforce is equipped with the skills and cohesion required to meet the company’s goals.
