BPHP, YKN collaboration to build Bintulu Hospital Anjung Kasih

BINTULU, 19 SEPT – Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (BPHP) has entered into a partnership with Yayasan Kebajikan Negara (YKN) to build YKN’s Anjung Kasih at Bintulu Hospital.

Women, Family and Community Development Minister, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri said the port company will fully sponsor the establishment of Anjung Kasih amounting to RM1 million at the government hospital.

“This strategic collaboration will provide benefits to the community who seek treatment services. The pure efforts of corporate social responsibility shown by BPHP are very proud and should be an example to other corporate companies to help those in need,” he said.

He said this when he officiated the Ceremony of Signing the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and Handing over the YKN and BPHP Sponsorship in the Bintulu Hospital lobby.

There are 19 Anjung Kasih that have been fully operational so far and accommodate a total of 104,714 residents since beginning to operate in stages in 2006.

Bintulu Hospital, which is the fourth YKN Anjung Kasih location in the state after Sarawak General Hospital, Sibu Hospital and Miri Hospital, will have 67 beds and will be equipped with counseling rooms, living rooms and prayer rooms as well as rooms
The Anjung Kasih initiative was established to provide human-friendly accommodation for patients or patients’ relatives while receiving treatment at the hospital.
