The “Bruce Springsteen: Backstage and Backstreets” special airs today, Sunday, Oct. 20, at 10 p.m. Eastern on ABC.

In the special, Springsteen offers insight on his career and personal reflection on the health hurdles he and his wife, Patti Scialfa, have been facing, ABC says. The special features a series of in-depth interviews between “Good Morning America” co-anchor George Stephanopoulos and Springsteen.
ABC was given access to Springsteen and the E Street Band over the course of several months while Springsteen was on tour. The special follows Springsteen to his adopted hometown of Asbury Park, New Jersey, where he talks about his life and inspirations.
