BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 19 – Following the heavy rain that hit Brunei Darussalam recently, many unwanted incidents occurred including fallen trees, damage to house roofs and even road accidents.
The string, a vehicle has been involved in a road accident in an incident that happened on the highway in the Jerudong to Muara area, between the U-turn towards Berakas Forest Reserve Recreation Park.
Gem Media when contacted by the father of the accident victim, Awang Hamid Nudin narrated the incident involving his son.
He shared that the car he was driving had lost control due to hitting a stream of water on the road and hit a road barrier before overturning and returning to the same road with severe damage.
He felt grateful to Allah SWT that his son survived without suffering any serious injuries and emphasized the importance of wearing a seat belt when driving.
He added that after the accident, his son continued to try to get out of the overturned vehicle through the window.
During the terrifying incident, the victim received help from three individuals who stopped the vehicle and helped him out of the car.
They were two local men and a JIS expatriate who also did a preliminary health check and took care of his safety and belongings while ensuring the safety of the accident site and the traffic in a safe condition.
“Our family would like to express our highest appreciation and respect to those who have a noble heart for their help.
Their faces are embedded in our memories, thanking Allah SWT who brought the souls of the heroes to the scene and hoping to thank them personally one day.
“We would also like to thank the ambulance and paramedics who attended the location. They were very professional and supportive throughout the incident even in bad weather that made it difficult for them with some emergencies during that period,” he added.
