BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, OCT 7 – Bandar Seri Begawan Chinese Chamber of Commerce (CCC) will host a public business forum for the first time with the title Succeeding in a Small Economy on October 28 at Hotel J, Kiulap.
According to a statement shared by CCC, the business forum is designed to address the unique challenges and opportunities faced by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in this small economy.
The three areas that will be focused on are how to find opportunities through collaboration, digital technology and international trade.
Throughout the forum, it will feature a keynote speech from Forum Asia Inc Chairman, Dato Timothy Ong who is also the guest of honour.
He will share how businesses can thrive in small economies by citing successful examples from other small countries and practical areas that SMEs can focus on.
Meanwhile, the forum also included two panel discussion sessions titled Prospering together through Digital Technology, Collaboration and Foreign Trade and Partnering Outside the Box: Championing Success across Trade Associations.
The forum was also organized in collaboration with the Brunei Economic Development Board (LKEB) as a strategic partner; DST and Standard Chartered Bank as gold sponsors; Bank Baiduri as silver sponsor; and Archipelago Group, Golden Corporation, Heidelberg Materials, Hua Ho Agricultural Farm and RHB Bank as bronze sponsors.
Through the program, it is hoped that it will be able to both increase knowledge sharing and also an in-depth exchange of views for the participants together in the estimated 100 people of business owners and executives consisting of CCC members, different trade associations, corporate executives and also policy makers.
